Sputtering Targets

Sputtering target materials are available in purities ranging from 99.9% to 99.9999%. SCM’s compound targets are produced using an advanced hot pressing technique, which yield targets with densities approaching theoretical, much greater than other ordinary techniques. This provides excellent homogeneity which ensures for repeatable use. Metals, intermetallics, and alloys are vacuum melted, then rolled and machined to size.

SCM targets are available for all sputtering systems:
RF, DC Magnetron, Planar, Laser Ablation, DC Cathodic Arc, S-Gun, Delta, ring, enhanced, round, rectangular and custom designed.

Reclaim of used targets: Many of the target materials SCM provides are of sufficient value and are worth reclaiming after usage. Typically, Platinum, Palladium, Silver and Gold are reclaimed for credit. We also reclaim Tantalum and Niobium.
